Striving to offer superior quality service, interesting and unique sewing classes, as well as individualized attention from an educated and well-trained staff is the goal at Hutch Midwest Sewing & Vacuum Center.

Hutch Midwest Sewing & Vacuum Center has been serving the Hutchinson area for 33 years. Owners B.J. and Loren Parsons, who have been involved with Hutch Midwest Sewing & Vacuum Center for 20 years, are constantly molding and shaping the vision, providing the best product with the best service after the sale as well as inspiring creativity through classes.

Top of the line sewing machines such as Bernina, Baby Lock, and Janome are offered in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Instructional sewing machine classes as well as many creative classes, which change monthly, are what make Hutch Midwest Sewing & Vacuum a special experience. To help support the sewer; Bernina irons, thread, stabilizer, software, additional presser feet, and project ideas are offered .

The sewing machine industry has changed over the years from a must-have item to more of a hobby or social activity,” B.J. said. “We try to inspire people with projects and classes.”

The Simplicity vacuum, made in the USA, gives consumers a high qualtiy, easy to use vacuum. Our sales staff will educate you on the care and maintenance of vacuum cleaners as well as tell you why Simplicity vacuum cleaners are rated #1 with homeowners and commercial users. We also carry Oreck and Eureka vacuum cleaners.

Loren, is a qualitifed tech for Bernina , Baby Lock , Janome sewing machines, and Simplicity vaccums;, however, he is also capable of repairing and servicing most other brands of sewing machines and vacuums.

Class Registration Policies

**Please register and pay for all classes, if required, at least one week in advance. If you do not notify the store that you wish to take the class, or we do not have your class fee 72 hours prior to the class, you are NOT enrolled in the class! The teacher is notified as to how many have registered for the class, and will then determine if the class is being held.

**If the class is canceled due to not enough students, sickness of teacher or weather, the fee will be refunded, and the teacher will notify you.

**We will refund the class fee if you are unable to attend, BUT you must notify Hutchinson Midwest, 72 hours in advance and we will notify the teacher.

Block of the Month 2011/2012 update
Starting May 10th we will display several quilts in the store for a month.    You can come in and vote once or as many times as you wish for the "Viewers Choice" each month.    Then a Holiday House in December we will bring back all the monthly "Viewers Choice" and you will have the opportunity to vote one more time for the #1 "Viewers Choice".   So each month on the 10th a new set of quilts will be displayed.

Block of the Month Quilt 2012
During Quilt Club, we had a vote on the Block of the Month Quilt to do in 2012. Well the vote was split between two quilts, Black & White and Scrap Fun. So, we will be handing out blocks for  both Block of the Month Quilts.    IT'S NOT TO LATE TO JOIN, stop by the store to sign up for the one you wish to do and get your fabic requirements..
Complete the required block, show it to a sales associate and your receive a coupon for 20% off a sewing notion or accessory.    Each coupon that is used will be put into a drawing a fat quarter.   We will have viewer choice awards at Holiday House in 2013.   Join the fun.
