August 23th, 2015
Just noticed that I dated last week blog as August 24th, I guess I thought the month was going faster then it actually was. Well it's good to have a few more days this month. The big news is Bill and Connie DePew will become the NEW BERNINA dealer in Hutchinson. I think they will be calling it Hutchinson Sewing Center and they will be locating right in the space I have been at for the last 8 months, 506 N. Main. I'm looking forward to helping Bill and Connie in the transition. I will also be teaching classes for them in terms of Bernina Instructional classes, basic sewing machine classes, club meetings, as well as creative sewing classes. And don't forget Hayes Sight and Sound is the SIMPLICITY vacuum cleaner dealer as well as service all brands of vacuums, bags, belts and filters. Stop in and see Ron, Monica, & Devon, they would love to show you what is new Simplicity.

Good Morning!!! Yes it is Monday morning. I was my church swim party and ice cream social last night. What a beautiful night to be out. We had no bug and just a slight breeze and not overly hot. Beautiful evening. So I'm late getting you updated.
I'm starting to wrap things up. I'm placing my last orders to Bernina, Babylock, notions and accessories items this week so that everyone can get things picked up by the end of the month. I do have some good news.
Bill and Connie DePew will be moving into my spot also at the end of the month. They will be adding sewing notions (Isacord, Mettrosene thread, stabilizer, needles, bobbins, etc) to their already established business of sewing machine service. My understanding, their grandson, Jason is in Chicago this week at a Bernina training and will be working with Bill & Connie. Their plans are to open September 1. They have asked for me to continue teaching for them. So I guess you don't get rid of me so easily.

Happy August!!! Where did July go? In just a couple of weeks most of the kids will be going back to school. I had a busy last week but enjoyable. Tuesday and Wednesday things were coming in from Christmas in July Workshop orders. I missed a few items on the order so I've reordered. I've either contacted you to let you know your order is in or will be in contact with you this next week with your order. Wednesday was a special day, Maddison, my 5 year old granddaughter, came with me to work. She wanted to learn to sew just like her sister. In the morning we made jammie bottoms and in the afternoon we made a pillow case with her name on it. She thought it was pretty nice being able to stitch out her name. She helped me break down some boxes and then help Troy at Hayes Sight and Sound load boxes on a truck for recyle. She had a good day and so did her Grannie. Friday, one the young ladies from Kids Kamp got a new machine so I gave her and grandma a lesson. Then in the afternoon we had a refresher class on Bernina embroidery machines. So we are ready for this week. It too is a pretty full week.
